Quality class

A distinction is made between quality classes I to III. Quality class (GK) 1 includes building timber with a particularly high bearing capacity; GKII is building timber of ordinary bearing capacity. This quality class is used as a basis for most measurement and design work. GK III is building wood with low bearing capacity.
