This shuttering panel has a phenolic coating on both sides of 220 g/m². This coating guarantees that apart from an application of mould release agent, the panel requires no further processing. Kronoply FF-Special behaves anisotropically as a conventional chipboard panel, as a consequence of this the direction of span must be watched when laying the panels.
All wood materials have a tendency to swell, this also applies to Kronoply FF-Special, which absorbs water much more slowly contrary to chipboard and bar plywood due to its phenolic coating and high quality edge sealing. Kronoply FF-Special minimises annoying edge swellings (thickness swell of the edges), which led to time-consuming reworking.
